Veterans Notice

To all who served:

Raritan Township recently passed an ordinance providing for discounts and waived fees for a number of township services for our veterans. We support those who served our country and are proud to enact this program recognizing our local heroes. Among these discounts/waived fees are

  • Pet licenses
  • Construction code fees
  • Recycling fees
  • Registrar Fees (birth certificate, etc)

As well as many others. The complete list may be found here and is also available in the Clerk’s office. 

To better serve you, the definition of a veteran is anyone who qualifies as a veteran under the state of New Jersey, or:

A person currently serving in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard, or their reserve components, or the Army National Guard or the Air National Guard; or

A person having served in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard for a minimum of four (4) years and having received a general discharge or higher; or

A person having served in any combination of United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard, or their reserve components, or the Army National Guard or the Air National Guard for a minimum of six (6) years and having received a general discharge or higher.

Proof of military service, document DD-214, is required.
