The State of New Jersey, the County of Hunterdon and the Township of Raritan have declared a State of Emergency. 

Our Township Emergency Services, the Raritan Township Police, Raritan Township Fire Company, the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad and the Raritan Township Office of Emergency Management are staffed and prepared to help our residents and businesses if needed.

Tree debris as a result of Storm Damage may be brought to the Department of Public Works/Recycling Center located at 204 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Raritan Township Residents ONLY:

  • You Must have a valid 2018 Dump Permit or Purchase One
  • Drop off/Permit Purchase, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm.  Drop off only Saturday 7:30am to 12:00 Noon.
  • Unlimited drop offs of tree debris until May 1, 2018. (Your permits will not be punched during this period)

Important Tax Exemption for Veterans

You are eligible for a $3,000 exemption on your NJ State Income Tax return if you are a military veteran who was honorably discharged or released under honorable circumstances from active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States.  To learn more about this exemption click here.

 Unable to claim your 2018 prepaid 3rd quarter and 4th quarter taxes on your 2017 tax return?

If so, you may request a return for over payment of 2018 3rd and 4th quarter taxes.  This request must be done in writing.  Please call our office for details (908) 806-8261.

Introducing Raritan Township's Department of Public Works Mobile 311 Citizens Site

Raritan Township Mobile311 citizen website allows township residents to communicate electronically with the Department of Public Works regarding non-emergency requests and concerns. Citizens can access the site from a computer, smartphone, or tablet at http://raritan.mobile311.com. Citizens accessing the site from a smartphone or tablet can save the site as an icon, essentially making it an app.
