FEES PER CALENDAR YEAR - These fees may be paid by either Cash, Check or Credit Card.

Residents of Raritan Township can purchase both recycling and non-recycling permits online through the SDL portal sdl.town/RaritanTwp and at the Recycling Center located at 204 Pennsylvania Avenue Flemington, NJ 08822.

• RECYCLING - $5.00 for unlimited drop-offs
• NON-RECYCLING - $30.00 allows six (6) drop-offs

TO PURCHASE PERMITS IN PERSON& DROP OFF: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

DROP OFF ONLY: Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

  • No tires on rims, no mud, no tractor tires
• Leaves – Drop off from October 1^st through December 30^th
• Textile Recycling Bins - Clothing, Shoes, Accessories & Linens 
  
• Christmas Trees – December 27^th-January 31^st remove all tinsel & decorations
• Computers, Laptops, Monitors, Televisions, Personal Printers and Copiers.
  • All other electronic devices and accessories are nonhazardous and should be disposed of in regular garbage or with the Township Non-Recycling permit.

In an effort to eliminate waste we have partnered with Habitat for Humanity. 

The Following Will NOT BE ACCEPTED:

• NO Vehicles larger than pickup trucks
• NO concrete, rocks, or bricks of any size
• NO sheetrock or shingles
• NO hazardous material
• NO tree stumps, grass clippings, weeds, or garden debris
• NO construction material (lumber)
• NO household garbage or trash
• NO RECYCLABLE ITEMS
• Raritan Township is unable to accept yard waste because of strict NJDEP Guidelines that cannot be complied with. PLEASE CALL HUNTERDON COUNTY RECYCLING, 908-788-1110, FOR INFORMATION ON THESE ITEMS.
• Construction debris may be taken to the Warren County Landfill located at 500 Mt. Pisgah Oxford, NJ 07863. For more info call 908-453-2174.
• TREES & BRUSH WILL REQUIRE ONE NON-RECYCLABLE SCAN FOR EACH DROP MADE. NO BRUSH OR TREES WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A NON-RECYCLING PERMIT.
• Disposing of Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) Bulbs – Township Residents can take advantage of CFL free recycling programs that exist at Home Depot and Lowes.

LAST ROUND OF LEAF COLLECTION BEGINS ON MONDAY DECEMBER 4TH. PLEASE HAVE ALL YOUR LEAVES OUT BY 7AM MONDAY DECEMBER 4TH. 

The final round will begin on December 4, 2023 and continue until every Township road has been collected. Please help assist the Township in its effort to render the best service possible.

Please have all leaves at the edge of your property by October 30th, 2022 for the 1^st round and December 4^th, 2022 for the final collection.

1. No leaves shall be placed closer than 10 feet from any storm sewer inlet.
2. Place your leaves in windrow fashion along the edge of your property. DO NOT PLACE YOUR LEAVES IN THE ROADWAY. Any leaves plowed off the roadway during a snow event will not be the responsibility of the DPW to clean up. The homeowner is responsible to re-rake the leaves to the proper location for leaf collection.
3. DPW crews will make two (2) rounds to collect leaves. They will make every effort to clean up all the leaves you put out on the first round. If they cannot, please rake the remaining leaves to the edge of your property so they can be collected on the final round.
4. DO NOT place your leaves in bags
5. Avoid the placing of branches, rocks, debris, and other foreign materials in the leaf piles since this can result in injury to the Township personnel and damage equipment.
   (CREWS WILL BE INSTRUCTED NOT TO COLLECT LEAVES IF ANY DEBRIS IS PRESENT.)
6. Leaves can be brought to the Recycling Facility with stickers throughout the year.
